S&P 69, Press Play

Alright this is just bugging me for no real reason. Why did the author of this article feel the need to credit Bai Ling with being on Lost when she was only in one episode? Come on, the Crow is a good credit, but Lost? Surely something like Wild Wild West or Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow would have been better credits to jog people's memory? I remembered who she was, but I had to look her up on IMDB because I couldn't remember her one small part, in one episode, on Lost in the earlier season. I didn't even believe it until I saw it there, and I'm a pretty big Lost fan.

Ah well, as a side note, she is looking to be an actress like Samuel Jackson. With nine movies either completed or in production this year, she seems to be an actress who will play in anything as long as you pay her. That's not necessarily a bad thing though, she bumps up a movie's rating by at least one die type for me, because of eye candy alone. Of course you may have to sit through a stinker to see her.

I added it only because it was a reference to her work record, not the character. I knew she only did one Lost episode, but I figured that there would be more Lost fans out there than Sky Captain, y'know?

Sky Captain was much more exciting and imaginative.

That's what I was talking about. Lost isn't a good reference for her work as it was just one small part she played in this huge series. It didn't even jog my memory until I looked it up and found the episode she was in. I instantly remember who she is when I hear her name in reference to Wild Wild West or Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow.

Good article though. I've come to like your Press Play articles. I've found out about some movies I hadn't seen because of them, this is definitely one of them. I liked Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow by the way and have both it and Wild Wild West in my DVD collection. I think it and Wild Wild West are more likely than Lost to be something people have watched as well. Hey it gets people talking though, so maybe Lost was the better reference!

Just one more swat at what should probably be a deceased equine: 'CSI's Faye Dunaway'? What ever happened to Bonnie and Clyde? Both versions of The Thomas Crown Affair? The Wicked Lady? Chinatown? I suspect gamers are more likely to remember Milady from the two Richard Lester Three Musketeers movies than the aging showgirl from a single episode of CSI.

As it happens, Robert David Hall, who played Abraham Hayden in the movie, is a member of the cast of CSI; he has played the Las Vegas medical examiner since the series began.
