RQ Gm's Handbook - Preview

I just got my copy from Leisure Games and it came with a free copy of Legendary Heros ... which was nice :-)

I noticed that when I went into Forbidden Planet. I'm annoyed, as I bought mine direct from Mongoose and didn't receive a free copy of Legendary Heroes whatsoever. So, what is with this then?

My copy seems to have had its pages soaked in water, or something-the cover is fine, as it the spine, but the pages are all crinkled and wavey....

As far as the over all book....it seems to me that a lot of it is stuff that should have been in the core book.

Been away from the funny shaped dice for the while, but like any addiction it gnaws away at you! I bought this book as part of my first new hit. No problems with the fabric of the book (I'm pleased to say, so far I've only had one iffy book and that was just a case of glueing the core back into the cover).

Love the content especially the Alchemy. Been waiting a long time for that!!! Shame there isn't an alchemy price list though, given the GM is recommended against Alchemist PCs.

The Demonology / Summoning rules are quick and simple but with a nice feel to them. Hopefully the forthcoming Monster Books I & II will have some nice demons tp play with.

Tidying up Combat and Opposed rolls has improved matters greatly, although a few example scores for the project rolls would have been nice. Have to dust of my MRQ Companion and see how well they dovetail with the rules on exceptional and enchanted items.

Good to get some official downtime training rules. Under the existing experience based rules it was taking forever to get anywhere with skill training. Quick start character generation is also a welcome addition as are standard NPC stats.

Only one minor quibble: somebody stole the appendix with all the gathered table. Somebody really should do something about those production Gremlins, they always seem to knobble something.

Apart from that, top Kumquat! Definitely a recommended addition to the line!!!

I'll look into seeing if these can be released as a PDF.

Glad you like the rest of the book!
