Romulan Fasthawk and the Hawks - extra speed under cloak?

Howdy rulemasters ☺

Is there any concession in regards to letting the Romulan Fasthawk Heavy Cruiser move faster than 6” under cloak? It is a "fast" ship after all.

In fact, did you ever consider giving the Hawk class ships (the Skyhawk, Sparrowhawk, and Firehawk [and Firehawk command variants]) a special Fast Cloak Trait allowing them to move 9” under cloak, with a Stealth 4+ penalty with any movement over 6”? I mean, these are the top of the line Romulan ships we're talking about. Notice I didn’t include the Condor (it’s too big). Maybe the Firehawks are even a stretch having to mask that extra warp engine it has. Although, I bet this would throw a monkey wrench into the points values of ships and might not be a good idea in regards to a balanced game system.

Anyway, I just remember playing SFB and having the speedy Skyhawks zip around the map under cloak. It was a lot of fun!!! Just throwing something out there that others have considered, too. And this is pretty simple and straight forward. It would definitely give the Skyhawk a little more zest. Thanks for listening.

Its not a bad idea - but as you say would need to be looked at in terms of the improvement to the ship under the game system - moving further under cloak is a powerful weapon in the right hands.

I do quite like the idea of the cloak being less effective under these conditions - I recall the 4+ Dodge/Stealth save for White Stars and Liatis beign either awesome or worthless in games ;)

Thanks :D

I also realized that this might need to likewise be declared as a special action. This would prevent abuse, because it needs to be done subsequent to Engage Cloak and not be allowed with Reload in the same turn.
