Research Equipment Scouts

Research Equipment is a mustering out benefit in Book 3 Scout. Unfortunately it does not appear to be defined. Any ideas?

You could take a look at the mustering out benefits for
scientists in the core rules, there is an explanation of
it, and replace some or all of the gadgets mentioned
there with equivalent gadgets from the Scout supple-
ment ?

There is an explanation of Scientific Equipment in the core rulebook, but Research Equipment also appears on the mustering out benefits in Scouts. There is no explanation for that one in either book.

Scientific Equipment is for Scholars, for Scouts too, but in Bk3 Research equipment is there right next to it on Scout muster benefits table. Only reference is in HIGH GUARD which talks of ship based research equipment with substantial dollar value.

That is literally the only reference to it, too. No other table gives it as a benefit, and no further mention of it is made anywhere else in my PDF of it at any rate.
