The first Referee's Briefing has just appeared for the latest edition of Traveller.

Penned by fan-favourite M J Dougherty, the first Referee's Briefing, Companies & Corporations, provides several commercial enterprises with which a referee can quickly populate his game - using them for plot hooks, the basis of entire adventures, or adding colour to the local shipping lines.

You can grab your own copy right now here: http://www.drivethrurpg.com/product/189604/Referees-Briefing-1-Companies--Corporations?affiliate_id=7242

Looks good. Is there a print version planned? I find PDFs difficult to read on my current technological devices - I keep thinking about buying a large tablet for game books but haven't yet.

Can you give us any hints of what else is coming in the series?

No plans to make this a printed book (but never say never!).

We are trying to find layout time for the second in the series, but I can tell you it is called Anomalies and Wonders...

Yeah, this is something sorely lacking in the OTU. "Ancient artifacts" are boring and passe. "Nobody knows what these weird things are, but they're 5 million years old" are way more interesting.

I'm really impressed with this series. I'm curious as to what we can expect in the future. I'd personally love to see one cover common creatures found throughout space (Spinward Marches), or even write it myself :)

I'm working on the third one now (actually I'm not; I'm drinking beer and playing World of Warships, but hey...)

Animal Encounters is on the list , as are further titles covering portside businesses and novelty sock designs.

One of those statements may not be true.

Awesome! I have been looking for a good book on novelty sock designs for ages.

Can we at least encounter novel sock designs if we can't have animal encounters¿

I'll see what i can come up with.

I've known people whose socks had many of the traits of live animals - smell, independent movement and a tendency to try to eat passers-by.
