really bad service from stores

What would you do if you had paid and ordered for something that the store then sold instead of sending it to you? The made you wait 6 weeks for replacements? Then sent you stuff you didn't ask for and told you to pay to send it back to get the right stuff sent out to you?

A store that ignores emails sent to the shop contact address, and on the rare occasion they do answer, says sorry we didn't see the email.

A store that when you phone tells you your items have been sent out only to tell you 5 days later that they are still waiting to be posted? A store that unless you get the manager himself whoever answers the phone just says not my problem I can't help you?

Would you name and shame this storte on every forum that you belong to if they continued to ignore you?

Maybe I should ask Wing Commander of ID gaming!

If you want to slag the store off then just do it instead of making all those points and then mentioning wing commander.
To be honest, I actually thought you were talking about Mongoose

I'm guessing the dude had bad experince with a gaming store and now wants to name and shame them, but is doing so in a rather round about way...

If you can't find a local shop you might be better buying through Mongoose Online.

I have encountered a similar experience in my time and I don't give return business. One store was actually a Local GW stockist. They were so bad I actually wrote to GW Australia and rang the HQ of GW Australia.

Shortly afterwards they no longer stocked GW :D

On the plus side I also have a new Awesome Local Gaming store. They don't stock Mongoose Products ... Yet :D

Ask the guy to see if you can teach him to play

well, whatever he wants to say, I ordered my FOW panzergrenadier company saturday and got it today, and they had some Panther A's come in which I thought were out of print so grabbed them too.

Ok, all you retailers out there, those of you that have worked in a service industry and had to face the dark demonic customer from the abyss. Well, he´s right here!
You know the type, orders the wrong thing and then blames you when, in point of fact, the thing that he actually wanted in the first place (not that he managed to convey that anywhere other than in his own teeny tiny mind) didn´t actually exist at that point....
You know the type, abusive to the point of sheer ignorance and then apologetic afterwards, repeatedly. Comes up with several excuses as to why they were justified / sorry (Delete as appropriate) for their behaviour. Even when you offer an unreserved (undeserved?) apology and a full refund this isn´t good enough, even when you tell them just to keep the "wrong stuff but they actually asked for it in the first place" item and tell them you´ll send the correct item once somebody starts making it.... Oh, and did I mention that the "complaints" started less than 13 hrs after the initial order was received? Generally not a good sign....
Oh, the joys of running a games store......

There are a variety of different suppliers any of whom carry only x, y or z of a certain item at any given time. As they all (pretty much) have a fairly hefty minimum order requirement most independant games stores need to wait until this has been met before purchasing.
Having said that, we recently found that there was a shortage of Whitestars from several suppliers hence the indication is that more need to be physically made before they can be sold and it´s not really something your store has a great deal of control over.

I got my Brakiri fleet box practically return-of-post but my Minbari fleet took almost 6 months to appear. That's why I've started using Dancing Dryad when possible as they tell you if they have your stuff in stock when you pick your order and give an ETA for anything out of stock. Still doesn't help if they can't get an item in anytime soon but at least you can order alternatives if you don't want to wait.
