Real World - why people + computers make best combination

A Traveller with level two to three in a skill is a skilled professional in that field. A Traveller with level four or five is probably both well-respected and well-known in his field.

They're interning; somewhere before the end of the series they graduate to three.

Except US medical interns have already completed 7 years of undergrad and post-grad education and not 4.

Probably the best way to represent Scrubs interns experience in MGT2 would be a major in Medical giving them Medic-2 and then one term as Scholar/Doctor which should give them Medic-3 (unless they are Doug...)

By mid-series they are residents (except Doug) and into their second term as Scholars.

The only way this works is if the game mechanics gives you the results you'd expect, in most dice rolls.

Cox is unlikely to be more than Medical four.

And I suspect there are some attached requirements, like Biology two, and theory.

Definitely.

If I wanted to represent current medical training I'd go for a 4 year degree in Life Sciences with a minor in Medic that represents a pre-med degree and then a 4 year Med School term that gives Medic-3.

However Medical really should be a cascade skill with First Aid, Surgery, General Medicine and Pathology as sub-skills as under the rules it is quite possible to have an army or marine support character who ends up with Medic-3 and a 'Physician' with Medic-1.

And Cox is surely a Medic-5...

Cox isn't that famous.

But you could add Instruction four, considering the plot requires him to give life lessons beyond mere demonstration of technique.
