Re-sculpts?

After receiving a few shiny new ships as Christmas presents I decided to pull out my old Armageddon book as a reference on how to assemble them and noticed that the figures depicted for the Ka'Bin'Tak, FireRaptor and G'Vrahn were quite different. Are the current models new sculpts?

Also does anyone know what the two extra fins with the Adira and two extra rails with the Ka'Bin'Tak are for? They are not in any of the pictures here on the site and do not seem to belong anywhere on the model. Are they just spares for customization and if so has anyone found a good use for them?

Thats correct. Some other Arma ships also got re-scuplted after a poor reception from Gamers and design problems (Z'Takk for example).

A friend received only one rail for the K'Bin'Tak. We figured that the extra rail was included in a packaging error (it goes on the G'Vran, IIRC). There's a tenon on the rail, but no corresponding mortise on the model.

Indeed. That nose is just ridiculous, it makes the ship look like a space-flying dildo :lol:

The only one that I liked was the Neroon. The others were just bad. IMO

The Armageddon ships were simply a complete fiasco. Many of them are still not available, even though 2e has been out for quite a while!
