Rail gun ammo

Mongoose
I've looked and looked but I can't find the cost of rail gun ammo. I know 1 ton of space holds 20 shots, but the cost is missing. Or is it just really late and I'm overlooking it somewhere...

You're not missing it. Its not there.

I would suggest checking the example ships provided and working it out from there, but none of the ships in High Guard include ammunition prices for either rail guns or missiles.

Pick a nice number then. The rail guns are bigger then 26mm orbital defense cannon in CSC, which has an ammo cost of 8000 credits per 20 shots. So call it 10,000 credits per 20 shots, or 500 credits per round. Its only a chunk of metal after all. No guidance, no engine, no sophisticated electronics. Just a hunk of metal.

It's in LBB2: High Guard

"Each ton of railgun ammo contains twenty shots and costs Cr 1,000."

Wow. My printing of High Guard does not include that line. Of course my printing of High Guard also has the index for Mercenary on the inside cover instead of High Guard. I was pretty confused at first until I realized my index had nothing to do with the content.
I also couldn't find it in the pdf High Guard errata.

Thanks Andrew.

Yup, I've got the original printing of High Guard with the Mercenary table of contents as well. Mongoose Publishing does have a trade in offer for it, you can send that in and get a replacement along with another product of your choice.

Really? Hmmm.... that sounds really tempting. I've purchased all my Mongoose books in local game stores in Texas. I'm assuming I would have to ship it to England, then have them ship back a new copy? Would it take at least 2 weeks do you think? Is there a link you can direct me to with this policy / offer?
Mongoose will get A LOT of brownie points back if they can do this.
Thanks.

I have a table of contents that lists the intro, the character creation, and the index. It has gaps for the other stuff. Would that still qualify?
I would need to think about this. I use the thing so much I'd miss it :P
