Question on scale

Mongoose
I occaisonally see B5 miniatures come up for sale on Ebay, but they have differnet names - I presume from older version of the rules , or different publishes.

For example, there is Babylon 5 Wars and there is Babylong 5 Fleet action.

Can the old ships fit in with the current CTA system? Are they the same molds / same scale?

Babylon 5 Wars are the same scale (in many cases, exactly the same minis - Mongoose bought the moulds from AoG).

Fleet action are much smaller.

Both can be used in ACTA :D

CTA doesn't have a fixed scale.

Babylon 5 Wars ships are the same as CTA, although the fighters are much bigger.
Fleet Action is smaller ships. CTA uses the Fleet Action fighters.

As all measurements are to and from model stems, you can use either, both or mix some counters in there as well.

C_J is using Fleet Action scale Vorchans for his full scale Centauri. They look much better next to the larger ships.

Scale does not matter in the slightest.
On in this spaceship game or in any other.
the ship is really a speck on the top of the stem (if the game was to scale) or the game needs to be played in a car park.

as the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy says, space is huge.

Although Vorchans are comparable to Primuses (Primii?) in size - in the episode where Emperor Turhan dies the 'royal cruiser' Primus is guarded by 6 Vorchans in close formation with it and they look about as big.
