Question about Shields

what game ability information would you give to Tower shied & Hoplite shield?
i mean information like this: ac bonus +4 max spell failure 20% ac penalty -10 etc..
sorry about my bad English
and information any other Shields would be very welcome too
i hope someone can help me

A Hoplite Shield is a Large Shield (+4DV), while a Tower Shield provides Cover (see cover rules).

Stypid question what you mean by +4DV
or have it same meaning like AC?
Because i cant find any meaning to DV from books

AC is not used in this game. Instead, Defense Value (DV) is used, which is the same thing, just with a different name.
