Q: Hyborian Confusion

This may be a stupid question, but here it goes anyway.

Do the Argosseans get all of the standard Hyborian racial features in addition to what is listed below:

As per Conan 2e:

Racial Features: All of the following are Argossean racial features:

+2 racial bonus to all Gather Information, Profession (sailor), Balance and Use Rope checks: The arts of ferreting out information about trading opportunities and taking by piracy whatever opportunities they cannot take by trade have been in the Argossean blood in almost equal measure for generations.

Yes, see page 16 under "Variant Races." Argosseans gain all Hyborian traits, as well as their variant traits.

What threw me was the following quote:

The Argosseans were originally a Hyborian people, though they have intermarried with many other races, particularly the Zingarans and to a lesser extent the Shemites.

It sounded as if it is past tense.
