Publishing your own RQ Stuff?

Axiom

Mongoose
After running a RQ game for almost a year now (great system btw!) some of my players are trying to coax me into trying to get some of my RQ critters and adventures published. I know there is a OGL for RQ but how does one go about doing this? Is there a certain format that needs to be used ... how to find a publisher? Send it to Mongoose and see if they like it?

Any info would be awesome.

Well there are many ways about doing this. Are you planning on selling the content or is it something you plan to release free to the public?

Well, it would be a dream to make $ off of something I do for fun. But I guess I'd like to look at both ways and go with which ever is easiest.

Well if it's something you release free you can do so on your own web page just as the thousands of homebrew settings you can find online. Or you could even post it on the MRQ Wiki, doing either of these methods are easy and as long as you don't violate the SRD you shouldn't have any worries.

If you choose the wiki route and need help let me know. :)

If you publish for a money gain, I suggest talking to someone who has done so like Rosen McStern or Halfbat, I am sure he can give you pointers.

Hmm maybe I should go the free route first and see how decent I am at writing. And then after publishing a few things I can go the "money" route.

Okay, what do I need to do to to get things published on the wiki since I have no clue on how to get my own webpage going. ;P

Just go to http://mrqwiki.com/wiki and register for an account. Then on the main page find where it says Scenarios and click on it you can then add your scenario, and if you want message me privately on here and I can help you out even more.

I think emailing it to YOU first would be best since I would like to have someone reread it to make sure it makes sense, look it over for typos etc since my writing skills need work ;P

Edited for typos. Ah the irony.
