And poor Harold was shot through the eye with an arrow. (Good shot!)

Actually they've determined that it was an incredibly lucky shot...most bows at the time were pretty inefficent and typically the men fired randomly into the air....

Dressing up like a Viking is my job...

Seriously, 14th-15th October, Battle Abbey, Hastings- we, by which I mean most of the Norse Film and Pageant Society, will be re-enacting the Norman Conquest. Should be about a thousand a side.

cool can you let the Saxons win this time, I'll provide s'more schnapps as incentive!

Rico, I'm wondering...just what does an Australian look like since you say you look like one?

Ok folks....quick update:

http://zupandevelopment.com is open for buisness...kinda.... this doesn't replace the webspace Morq is running for card hosting

Second, the Skinnie Cabal card should be done before the release of the next Dune book (August 22, 2006)

And ScipioAmericanus says Hi! Let's congradulate the newly minted Lt. Colonel on his promotion, and give him out best regards!

Hiromoon, buddy. Just how big is your monitor, anyway? I have a 20" LCD, and it's filling up it fairly well  . Nice idea and card. You can give that one the nickname of the "There and Back Again" card

I quite like the idea of the campaign cards! I think it'd be great to give to a unit that had played in a previous campaign and aquitted themselves well!

Regards Oldbury

I might do some more...but I need to get the cabal done, someone's skimmer card..... then I can whip up more campaign ones.

Hey, what if there was a card the opposite of the "+1 to die rolls" (obviously a -1 card) that gets used if a previous battle went badly, sort of like a morale device. Oops, that could also describe Klendathu, heh .

You could do that Bu although i'm not sure people would want to use them

Well, sure if you have a choice about it  . I was mentioning it as something that would be manditory. You have a "benefits gained" pile of cards to draw from in Hiro's case based on past events. My addition creates a "craps" draw pile if things have gone badly  . Then maybe, you put some special cards in both piles that can direct the player to draw from the other pile for those cases where fate turns the other way from what is "earned". Say if you had a victory you should then draw from the "good" pile of cards, but get a card that says "Due to a case of 'Victory Disease', overconfidence has dealt the army a card from the bad deck." Conversely, a card could be in the "bad" deck that might be termed a "Remember Pearl Harbor" or "Remember the Alamo" card (I'm American, remember? lol). Um, maybe call it a "Remember Buenos Aires" card to turn recent defeat into a will to fight better? Maybe Hiromoon wasn't going to use them this way, but it's something to ponder. Two draw decks- one called good Karma and one called bad Karma  .

Hmm could work or possibly mix them together? and during the game you can draw one and it may be good or may be bad.

Regards Oldbury
