could somone with this ship take a photograph of the underside so i can see where the pin is suposed to be? mine lacks a hole : (

:lol: :lol: :lol: sorry....ahm...you know the most of the ACTA ships lacks holes. the use of an dremel or an other drill is nearly standard by ACTA ships. try to find the balance by this beast. then pin this pig on an nail, if you use the standard plastic stand....by by plastic stand....:lol:

yeah...i would recomend just finding the balance point, drilling it and then using a nail. Thats what I did, and its holding quite nicely. I also used the two magnetic basing pieces (someone on here shared the website a few weeks back) so the ship can pop off the stand and avoid breaking the stand.

planning to do a realy short flight stand..
what do you conect the nail to? that usual plastic base or somthing else?

I used a 6mm drill bit in my household power drill, the dremel didn't have enough power.
Made a fairly deep hole the used the standard plastic flight stand but cut the stand in half so that it was about an inch an a half long. Half an inch slips into the drilled hole leaving the Adira resting about an inch above the table. Balance isn't a problem. Breaking isn't a problem because the model sits on the stump of the flight stand it isn't glued on to it.
It shouldn't get knocked and the centre of balance is very low so it won't tip over.
The main problem was using the large power drill on the model, but luckily my cellar has a workbench with a vice attached to it, a bit of wood to protect the model from the vice jaws and away you go.

Hi there. Here is what I did with mine (pictures below). Please Note: My Adira is only about half complete...lots more painting to do but I figured it wouldnt hurt for this exersice 
1) Drilled out a hole for a 1/8 screw in the bottom of the Adira (I had to sink 3 holes before I found the right balance. The middle hole is the one I use)
2) I then screwed the screw into a GW large flying base (bigger than Mongoose large base). It was a snug fit and I didnt even new glue to keep it in.
3) After it the screw was in the base, I simply cut the head off and presto...instant stem.
I Have played several games with it and have not had any issues. On the off chance I do break the plastic base, I have a ton more and that parts easy to make. It fits fine and the model is heavy enought that I dont have to worry about magnets (which I use on most of my other ships).
On a side note, I used the same size screw for the pinning of the wings (that was brutal).

there you go , these are very neat and tidy and very quick to put in, i even use them on the smaller models as its so simple for transporting and any stem you have modified will fit any ship.
simply go buy some barrel clasps about 10mm (jewelry fittings) the ones that go on a bracelet to hold both ends together, they screw in and have a male and feamale end to them, just cut off the small link each end that would be used for the bracelet, drill hole in ship usually about 4-4.5 mm, put the male end in the ship with super glue.
next bit sounds fiddly but honestly its dead quick once you done a few, hold feamale end securly in a pair of pliers and use a small drill about 3 mm to drill out the small end (where it would have gone on the bracelet) so that it fits on your stem i fit it so it pops over the small pin (which i have cut down about 3/4 of the way) so it sits on top of the main bit and super glue down, its never come off of any ship large or small, and if you do break a stem its easy to make another....da..da all done. if this helps and anyone would like a real detail job of how to do it ill post a proper step by step with pics if needed.

I didn't drill into mine. I stacked two fighter bases together and plopped the Adira onto them. Its well balanced and very stable.
