Preordered direct from Mongoose - nothing arrived yet

Pre-ordered several weeks ago, nothing yet.

Is it just me or has no one had their direct pre-order from Mongoose in the post, in the UK?

Woohoo! My copy has landed this morning, together with a healthy stock - have only had time for a quick skim-through so far, but it looks a winner, especially as the main game rules stop before page 20 - simple, effective mechanics, and a ton of scenarios and other supporting material - looks great. :D

that freaking sucks! what was the point of preordering? i thought we were supposed to be first in line?
 
Hi guys,

First, I have to say that by pre-ordering from us, we do not guarantee you will get it first. It sometimes happens, but you should see a note pop up on your screen when you order explaining that we usually delay sending them out, as we much prefer you frequent your local retailer. However, sometimes you get lucky :)

Second, we have just received a restock here in the office, and more books are already on their way out.

I know my FLGS has decided to stock it just off of what he's heard from me and the level of interest of others in the area. (I wasn't trying to influence him or anything, he was just included on the mailing list of people who had asked me questions about the game and I was responding to.)

So. . . by shipping me a copy relatively early, you've got another store distributing it! (Plus possibly a number of additional customers!) :)

It would be fair to say the game's popularity has caught us by surprise - to the extent that we were scratching our heads earlier this afternoon wondering whether we had not better gear up our plans for a supplement!
 
Well I continue to look forward to my copy of VAS as I have high expectations of it. Looks like an excellent rule book

However let's just say perhaps I will not pre-order the next product Mongoose release......

But let's be positive at least the VAS rule book has almost no chance of being delayed by collapsed moulds or looking like a pile of cack like some recent releases and current old moulds......
