Poisons

With RQ3, you could die if any stat reach 0 points. There are many poisons now that reduces chars (-6 to INT, or spells that reduce DEX, for exemple).
Does a PC die if his stats reach 0 points?

Does a PC die instantly if a blow inflicts a major wound to the head location (cut off), or is it supposed that his head is cutted off only if he fails the resilience roll?

I would suggest that it depends on the statistic affected.

STR = 0 (Death)

CON = 0 (Death)

SIZ = Not Applicable

DEX = 0 (Incapable of co-ordinated motor movement; Paralysis or uncontrollable convulsions)

INT = 0 (Enters a vegetative state. Maybe require weekly resilience rolls to stay alive or vital systems shut down and character dies)

POW = 0 (Interesting one. Soulless? Probably death)

CHA = Not Applicable

Does this sound feasible?

I play that if any characteristic is reduced to zero, you die. No ifs and buts.
I also play that if any characteristic is reduced below the normal species minimum that you are basically incapacitated.

STR: death due to muscle wasting etc
CON: death due to system failure.
DEX: death to nervous system failure.
SIZ: death due bone and organ decay.
INT: brain death.
POW: soul death. (no coming back from that one...)
CHA: death due to losing the will to live.

What do you think about doing a major wound on the head location?

I play:
If a head location receives enough damage to do a major wound in a single blow (e.g. a head with 6 Hit Points receives 13 damage in a single blow) then it is severed or damaged so badly that death is instant.

If a head location is reduced to a major injury due to several wounds then I use the rules from the GM's handbook - and the character dies after a certain number of rounds. E.g. a head with 6 Hit Points has been reduced to -5 Hit Points due to several injuries. The character then takes another couple of hit points damage there from a disruption spell. This does not cause the head to be blown off but the character will die shortly.
