I don't rightly know... it just feels like a mixture of impending doom and excited anticipation...

Would you feel more comfortable if I said the Modern Combat rulebook was 85% complete, and was already going through playtesting?

Sure! But that wasn't exactly what I was getting at.

Old Bear seems to have gotten the idea though. ;) Really, I'm looking forward to all of this, Matt. I mean, having been a Mongoose Infantryman for many years now for SST, being a playtester for SST, getting to play and talk to people about BF:Ev... It's like being in the trenches waiting for word to go over the top. I'm looking forward to the games, the victories that are out there and the defeats that lurk with them.

Heck, this past weekend my PLA lost to a semi-mixed force of EFTF (they had 1 squad of MEA as 'native' troops for augmentation). I had fun, even though I was loosing men and vehicles left and right...

Get Modern Combat out and I'm sure I can find you at least four new players (I LOVE working on a military base).

WWII is not my thing, really because I am only interested at the Eastern Front (Finns and Germans vs. Soviets) and I have not seen much Soviet minis...

This is one of many reasons (the fact that my group already had a ton of this scale) we decided to go with 1/72 scale. Since Evo is measured point to point like ACTA/VaS... the scale of the mini isn't critical. 1/72 scale has a TREMENDOUS range from various manufacturers. Soviets... plenty (of which you'll need lots for the hordes of the Eastern Front)! For Finns you can usually use German infantry and Soviet Tanks...

You also have the option of 1/72 prepainted. Forces of Valor (some infantry) has some and Dragon Armor has an expanding selection and the price is right ($13-20 for vehicles...M3 Halftrack to King Tiger respectively).

Pegasus is also coming out with a line of reasonably priced 1/72 buildings for terrain...

Just my 2 cents...

That is what I am doing for World at War!
