Pict info?!

I want to start a Conan campaign with my players on the frontier of the Pictish Wilderness. Other than Across Thunder River (which I plan to get soon), is there any other sourcebook I should look for? I was thinking about developing an adventure based on Beyond the Black River when Aquilonia still held the land of Conajohara and I need some more info on the Picts at that time. Thanks all!

Across Thunder River is all you'll need for the picts. might want to get hyboria's fiercest for the additional rules and fluff about barbarians and borderers.

We have a definitive description of their appearance here: http://www.mongoosepublishing.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=34468

Thanks, S. I love how heated that thread became, and to no real solid agreement for some. I've always pictured the Picts as a cultural and racial mix of North American Indians and prehistoric Gael/Celt-ish Britons. That seems to be the general consesus, and I like it! No matter how you envision them, they are universally savage, barbaric little bad-asses that are a lot of fun to pit your players against!!
Thanks again!!

You might also get your hands on Del Rey's edition of 'Bran Mak Morn' that brings together most of Howard's 'wierd history' Pictish stories. Not quite the same as the Hyborian vision but a good source of inspiration. Also, 'Tigers of the Sea' (Howard with some finishing off by other authors) has pseudo-historical stories with scary Pictish savages in them.
