Holy Emperor of Mankind
Mongoose
Hello, all. I picked up the game the other day, and after reading over the rules, I'm looking forward to playing. However, I got a question about the miniatures.
Namely, is the rest of the line like the miniatures in the starter box? Dear God, what a nightmare! I've had the box for a couple days, now, and I've only completed one model so far, and glued the legs and torsos of the rest of the MI's. And that's without even looking at the Arachnids, yet. Please tell me the rest of the line doesn't consist of miniatures with 15+ pieces a model. New MI's with less bits would also be nice.
That having been said, the assembled model DOES look nice. I just wish I didn't need tweezers to glue on all the smaller bits of armor. So am I going to need my tweezers if I want to keep collecting miniatures for this game? Or will I be able to put them away and use my fingers? Awesome game rules are nice, but miniatures which don't require the precision of a neuro-surgeon to assemble would be nice, as well.
Aside from the miniatures, are there any battle reports around here? I liked the battle report in the main rulebook, and was disappointed that I didn't get to see the rest of the fight. So any battle reports about? And does the magazine feature battle reports? I'd like to see examples of game play.
Anyway, sorry about the ranting about the miniatures. Just get a bit impatient with assembling miniatures.
Hopefully I can get them assembled, soon, so I can try the game out. Just hope there're Starship Troopers players in Miami so I can kick some bug and skinny ass.
