Sorry if this topic's been covered before.
There's an issue with the rules that troubles me, but I think I have a solution.
The problem is the limits to Persistence (POW x 5) and Resilience (CON x 5).
Let's say I have a character with 14 CON and Resilience of 70%. He loses a point of CON, so Resilience drops to 65%. Then I raise my CON by two points to 15. What happpens? Do I get my lost 5% back? Does my Resilience go up to 75%?
My solution is this:
There are no limits to raising Resilience and Persistence. However, when you roll against either skill, if the modified skill is greater than STAT x 5, then STAT x 5 is considered the actual value for evaluating Crit/Success/Fail/Fumble.
I think this solution is reasonable. If a character has been struggling against the forces of dark magic their whole life they will be more used to resisting its effects (unlimited advancement), but flesh/spirit can still fail (STAT x 5 limit).
Or, to give another example, a character who has lived in a desert their whole life will have a very high Resilience skill when resisting dehydration, they will know how to conserve water, not to travel in daylight etc. But there are still physical limits.
