Parrying a Charge

Can you, under any circumstances, parry a charge by-the-book?

You can try...

Think about it though: a charging human, or a worse - a charging creature, sprinting at you, perhaps with a weapon ready - what's more sensible: parry it or get out of the way?

Well, a horse (or a worse :wink: )- probably get out of the way, same goes for huge strong guy with 2h bludgeon.

Average guy with 2h bludgeon depends on situation- defensive or desparation? Evade ability vs. Parry ability?

I'd merely suggest rubbing it liberally with Pelorian Sun-fruit conserve and, if necessary, a light tenderisation.

Mechanically-speaking, you're at more risk for Knockback (and falling Prone) when you're trying to parry a charging man, or beast.
