Paranoia at RPG Convention?

I’m one of the organizers of AnonyCon, a small gaming convention in Stamford, CT over December 4-6 and I’d love to include Paranoia this year.

Are there any one-shots that we could use to promote the game in a 4 hour slot?
Any nearby volunteers who are interested in testing out a new Paranoia scenario idea?

Let me know, we're open to submissions.

AnonyCon - Games So Good They Turn Undead
December 4-6, 2015 in Stamford, CT

I run a few sessions of Paranoia every year at Origins Game Fair. I create my own Paranoia missions for conventions -- usually based on a movie/TV theme like Venture Brothers (and Minions with Robots next year!). The problem with running a scenario is that it's no fun when people who played the adventure sit down at the table.

Paranoia requires the atmosphere of fear that something unknown is out to get you. That doesn't happen even you base a session loosely on the Mark IV, but it turns out half the table played the session the weekend before to "get in the mood." Luckily, my sessions generally mix bits from different sessions and turn a few classic gags on their head -- like getting zapped for not standing ON the Yellow Line instead of just avoiding crossing it -- so the Commie Mutant Traitors still received their due share of comic Terminations.

Hope the convention goes great this weekend!
