P&P and Ancients FAP costs

Maybe I'm spacing out, but I was perusing the Fleet Lists book and noticed that the Ancients FAP chart was not updated in P&P. Now I can extrapolate what they probably should be, but technically Ancients are now "screwed" as they operate under the old FAPs. I've never actually used them in a game, so I don't know how much this hurts them. What do you think? Did I just miss it?

Yeah, seems like they were screwed over a bit. I would and extrapolate the new FAP chart to them, to make them a bit fairer. The poor old ancients would have a tough time facing 4 War or 8 Battle ships.

I never understood why there was a separate section on the Ancients FAP and a specific mention of how many ships fight them. Isn't it's just one up from Armageddon?

Technically, no, Armageddon is the highest PL. Ancients are only meant for use in specific scenarios, which do not use the FAP breakdown chart. If you have a 4pt Armageddon level battle, you can't choose to play Ancients and take 2.

As to why not, I don't know! I would allow it as a house rule

I'd follow the P&P chart and extrapolate out any other options for patrol PL ships...
