The problem with just Traveller is what do you call Star Ship Troopers when it is released using the Traveller rules? OR what do you call Babylon 5 when it is released in Traveller rules AT THE SAME TIME that it is still being released in it's D20 version, by the same company?

When the OGL is out, Traveller becomes the SYSTEM not the setting as others will be able to publish their own Traveller settings.

Good point. So Traveller is out. However, I still think a minimalist title would be much more effective and timeless especially with those great, simple covers.

The Traveller setting is most closely and widely identified by the nom de guerre The Third Imperium. As far as I am concerned no other title would make sense.

They have said there will be a ship book. They have flat out denied anything more. But once there is a ship book, I'm certain enough whining will bring about a races book.... Hmm... the Narn would make a good replacement for the Federation of Arden....

Not starting rumors, at least not trying to.

Mongoose has said there will be a B5 setting book for Traveller. They have also stated that they will continue to support the current B5 line. The Traveller/B5 book would be a way to convert your B5 game to Traveller rules if you wanted to. I don't expect B5 to be absorbed into Traveller like the plan is for Starship Troopers.
