Ordering straight from the 'Goose...

Banded Mongoose
I've never ordered directly before, and am thinking about it now. If I were to order something (say... World at War  ), when could I reasonably expect to receive it in the US (the DC area, specifically)?

Our warehouse staff are very busy at the moment, but we are expecting to take delivery of BF Evo: World at War later this week, and mail order copies will be sent out next week (will take a few days longer if anyone reading this is outside of the US or Canada, as they have to cross the ocean first). So, you should epect to see it the week after next at the latest.

Hope that helps!

Hi,

The first order I placed with Mongoose (via a friend) was OK.

My copy of B5 ACTA's rulebooks were faulty so MGP replaced them, thank you.

Earlier on this year I ordered 5 books. The money was taken out of my bank account yet I only received two books. After sending a message to MGP, I received three books. Two of them were what I ordered but the third one, Thirdspace, was 1) not what I ordered and 2) what I already had.

I'm now chasing up my Lurkers Guide to Telepaths now and am reasonably confident that MGP will honour their commitments.

When all the rush of orders have calmed down. I would suggest that Mongoose take a good look at their systems / quality control.

HTH,

Ian

I don't think so.

Typically I only get an email from Mongoose if I send them an email first.

They're not as chatty as Amazon UK. But they're a lot more open. I've ordered stuff from a local bookshop before as MGP recommended and the speed of delivery ranged from quick (days) to slow - week upon week. Which is why I went back to ordering books from MGP, despite the heavy postage costs.

HTH,

Ian

Well I took your advice and emailed them to find out if the order had shipped and have yet to hear back. Hopefully I'll hear back soon since it's been about a week.

If I've read the Mongoose Blog accurately, some of the MGP staff will be recently back in Swindon after a trip to the GAMA trade show held in Las Vegas. This extended stay away may mean mail orders will experience a slight delay.

I'm waiting to receive a copy of "The Lurker's Guide to Telepaths", with bated breath:)

HTH

Is there email notification from the 'Goose when your order is sent? It's cool if not, as I always like the mailbox surprise. :D
