I know, because I've played 1e, but newbies will be lost.
Take a FAP, split it into 2 FAPs of the next lowest level. You can then take one of those and split it into two downwards, and so on.
For example;
1 War point breaks down into 2 Battle points. One of those can then be split into 2 Raid points, and so on.
So the rulebook FAP is correct after all?
Which is what the rulebook says, but which you said was wrong?
Even more confused now.
Burger said:It is lucky yes, but not so amazingly lucky as you might think. There are 3 crits which cause weapon loss, and one of them is only 1 weapon, the other 2 are one arc. The chance of 21 crits getting none of these 3, is 16%.Hans Olo said:Receiving 21 crits without loosing a single firing arc is pure luck
I know, I was referring to the 1st ed.Wing Commander said:There isn't an all weapons gone crit anymore!![]()
Is it still possible to spliut a War point into 3 Raid, and split one of them into 3 Patrol (final split: 2 Raid and 3 Patrol), like it was in Armageddon? Your explaination here seems to imply you can only split down one level if you're going to re-split. Or has that ability disappeared in 2e?msprange said:Poi said:Then perhaps some explanation of how it works please.

One thing people generally forget when comparing big ships to small ships is that just adding the firepower together and adding the Damage/Crew together doesn't really work. This is because you can significantly reduce the firepower on a fleet of smaller ships every time to kill one but on a large ship its firepower is not significantly reduced anywhere near as easily.Kyle81 said:I wouldn't put so much emphasis on one play report as some sort of validation of how good big ships are. Looking over the books, I'm still not seeing a reason to take large ships, as lot of smaller ships give you so much more firepower. And not every ship is the Victory.
