Older versions falling apart?

Wondering if this happened to anyone else.. the lamination on my Fire on the Water is shriveling up and falling off. Also wondering if anyone has a newer version of book 2 with the different binding from books 3+.. not even sure if Mongoose went back and updated the binding on the first two books.

They definitely updated the binding on the first two books. Just bought a FotW for half price in the Mongoose clear-out.
