Old miniatures?

Mongoose
I know that another company produced a smaller scale for ACTA, and I was wondering if they are in any way still available. The reason I ask is because of the scale issues with the ships, most especially with my favorite ship- the Olympus corvette. I'm big on miniatures, and it just seems odd to me to see the Chronos, with 1 1/2 times as many hitpoints, is small compared to the Hyperion. Any help?

The current Mongoose minis are the same minis, from the same moulds (barring some new ships, and updated ones) as the old larger size minis produced by Agents of Gaming. AoG also produced Fleet Action scale minis - about 1/3 the size. While smaller, they kept the same relative proportions between ships. They were NOT for ACtA, they were produced for Babyon 5 Wars and Babylon 5 Fleet Action. But the B5W ships are the same as the Mongoose minis, except Mongoose is using B5FA fighters.

Although AoG went out of business long ago, the former owner bought up all the unsold stock, and is still flogging them off through the old AoG website here.

Just wondering, do you think the scale issues are really bad? I know the Olympus is screwed up, but are the others better?

Frankly, it doesn't matter at all to me... So long as they look like the originals (where there ARE originals), I'm fine. The iconic ships are all pretty much in scale.

Roughly, each PL is in scale with each other, the scale increasing as you go up. The Hyperion should be about half the length of an Omega and the Olympus should be about half the length of a Hyperion. Sunhawks and Warbirds are about half the size of the Hyperion as well. I don't think the AOG Fleet Action ships are any better compared to each other, but Wulf can correct me on that if I'm in error. I use FA scale White Stars as they are about right compared to the larger cruisers (like the Omega) but that makes them far too small compared to the Raid (and below) sized ships.

I like your use of the word Roughly, you should have bolded and underlined it ;-)
