OGL career: The Vagabond

First, thanks MGP for the SRD.

Here is the Vagabond, 100% Open Game Content: you can use it as an "OGL" Drifter in a modern or cyberpunk setting, or as a new career for Traveller. I didn’t apply for the Traveller Logo Licence, but it might be compliant as it is an original creation and it needs the Traveller core book to generate a character and play the game.

It’s my first take for Traveller, let me know if you spot any errors... or if you use it in your game. Have fun,

Thierry

An interesting character concept. :D

In my setting I have a number of escaped or freed slaves who have to
live on the streets until they find a way to travel to one of the few colo-
nies that accept them as immigrants.

I think it could be possible to use a fourth specialization of your Vagabond
career for such slaves ...

Great! Now I could generate Dave Lister (from Red Dwarf fame) in Traveller ;) Oh, sure, theoretically he's an ultra-low-grade technician, but he looks, feels and smells more like a Space Hobo...

On a more serious note, I like this career - more options to drifters...

A Lister character really needs the Liverpudlian scally/car thief/layoutabout/slob/comedian career ;)

It was designed for a modern, cyberpunk or "space western" setting (or planet), with our real world in mind and also movies like Emperor of the North Pole, Hard Target, Wolf's Rain or Elfen Lied...

Glad you like it

Space Hobos yay! :D Thanks! Hope to see more such pdfs in the future.

Thanks to your post, I'm now aware of The Road by Jack London and similar works. Emperor of the North Pole is looking good.

I'd add O Brother, Where Art Thou?. :P Even has Big Rock Candy Mountain in it.
