O level skills questions...

If you have a specialty skill like Engineering (Jump1), the rules seem to imply that you also have 0-level skill for all other Engineering specialties. ( the rest of the cascade as it were) Is this true?

Does this also work for all skill specialties , like Social Sciences, Gun Combat, etc. ?

Was this true for for cascade skills in CT or MT too?

If you have Streetwise-2 and gain a Streetwise-1 skill, do you get to roll again? Or do you lose your roll?

Correct.

Yes, although I personally do not allow this for Trade or Art.

No idea. IIRC, in TNE, you got half ranks in associated skills.

I can't think of any situation where you would roll Streetwise-1 (except possibly on a random event table, where you should also have access to some alternative skills), but if you did, you'd gain no benefit if you already had Streetwise-1 or higher.

Correct.

But to be clear, if I have Engineering (Jump) 3, the other Engineering skill rolls are made at the zero level. Correct?

Characters & Combat p. 16[/i]"]All player characters have an innate weapon expertise, in all weapons, of zero. Acquisition of a weapon skill boosts this to level-1. Additional acquisitions of expertise in the same weapon increase the present level by one.
