Noble Armada End of Line Sale

We are still playing B5 on occassion - nothing like we used to but occassionally...............

IN fact I have been tweeking the rules to make it points based :)

Wanted to fill in some holes in the Noble Armada collection and that resulted in 44 Blisters in my shopping basket, the problem is that it's nut using the 'special' price that is listed (it's using the full price). That get's expensive really fast (and way out of my budget). I already sent an email to 'sales' but i doubt they are working on a sunday ;-) I was hoping that one of the forum members knows what I'm doing wrong...

Had no problem with my order, lower price came straight up. just did a dummy order and 1/2 price came straight up.

Maybe try again?

You could always bring back B5.

You know, we did talk to Warner Brothers about this early last year, but I am afraid they would not be swayed on the amount of money required (it is rather a lot).

Can I make a second request for The League's info be released in a PDF. We have been anticipating it for a while and would still like to do some convoy raid missions.

Any chance of seeing that Blue Shift resurrected?
You got as far as some (rather pretty) 3d sneak peeks, if I remember correctly.

Bit of a stock warning - these Noble Armada ships are disappearing fast. We have less than 5 left of just about everything. For the ships listed below, we have just _one_ blister pack left in stock as I type this!

Li Halan
Dragon Destroyer
Slayer Explorer

Hawkwood Maestekulos Dreadnought

Vuldrok Hadruk Frigate (in fact, this is the only Vuldrok we have left at all!)

Decados
Grigori Cruiser
Leonardo Monitor
Reaper Raider

Church
Zorothistran Destroyer
(and only 2 Hadara packs, and that is it for Church!)

Al Malik
Rashid Escort
Asim Light Carrier

Yes Victory at Sea and the soon to be I hope ACW Ironclads are both ACTA. Hopefully the sci fi fans can check out the historical side of ACTA for it is well done and the ships coming out look fantanstic. Its also not tied to a license so should be around for a long time. I myself would love to see a version of ACTA with big robots now that would be cool.

Another stock warning - we only have one left of each of the following;

Li Halan
Dragon Destroyer
Slayer Explorer

Vuldrok
Hadruk Frigate

Decados
Leonardo Monitor
Reaper Raider
Lucretzia Galliot

Al Malik
Asim Light Carrier
Rahimat Galliot

Hawkwood
Fitzhugh Fighter
Hornet Frigate
Wayfarer Explorer

Kurgan
Bogatyr Fighter
Yildugh Destroyer

A sad time - I liked the NA game, felt it was easily playable and fun - things I never felt about the Star Fleet camel of a mishmash (sorry Matt, just my personal opinion ;) ). I still felt that, compared to B5:ACTA, the fleets were a little bit 'samey', despite everyone's best efforts to make them feel different. The strengths of the game were that despite it playing as a great fleet game, the ships did seem smaller and less heavily armed than their B5 counterparts (I liked that, although some of my friends thought otherwise) and the solidity of the system.

It will return, of this I have no doubts, and if it returns as a Traveller game, can I make a request for 2 games (I know - shocking manners!), one as a small-scale game akin to NA, with 100-800T ships; sort of a skirmish-style game, and then a larger fleet-scale game, with warships in the multiple kT range? I think there were precedents in the older ranges of Traveller games.

I'll mourn ACTA:NA, like I did B5:ACTA, but I am so looking forward to what comes next.

The timing is most annoying. A couple of friends and I were just starting to get into NA. One of the friends already had an old Holistic starter set including plastic equivalents of the Hawkwood and Decados fleet boxes, and had bought the NA core rulebook, "Fleets of the Fading Suns" as a PDF from Drivethru, and Mongoose's metal Hawkwood fleet box plus a Maestekulos. I'd knocked up some counters for all noble houses for use in a few trial games and we'd played a couple. The next step was to try a game using just those ships which appear in a fleet box as a prelude to actually getting more fleet boxes - I was on the verge of buying Hazat and the other friend was likely to get Al Malik. So we went to look at the Mongoose site to see exactly what was in the fleet boxes and found there were no fleet boxes! :( Oh well, we'll just have to continue using the counters...

I'd hang in there and keep checking ebay. I've got Decados and Hawkwood fleets, but nothing much beyond what was in the original book, so I'll be looking to pick up other ships as and when they come up for sale. I daresay that some people might sell off some of their fleets in the near future.

Noble Knight also stocks Noble Armada:

But as it's now an unsupported game, it's in the same position as B5. And I have plenty of models for that. :)

Hell yes - I've got about 9 or 10 fleets for that game (all older fleet-scale, though). No game is ever truly dead if you have a rulebook and some models! :P

Any idea what made them feel the value of the license went up after the DVD sales fell off?

Possibly reversing the concept - if revenues from other sources were dropping, they would want to maximise license revenues where they could. The value has stayed the same but the costs have increased drastically.
