hello people, I am new to posting even though i have been reading for a while,

I was wondering why there is no fansite for sst?? bf:ev already has one and it looks good but where is the sst site?

anyway getting my box in the post very soon of sst, cant wait!

Well, to my knowledge we've never had one appart from the Yahoo group.
Even at the height of its popularity there wasn't one. Then the whole Evo thing happened and most of the user base dissapeared. Then there was a year of nothing... now we're getting hints of... something happening...
On top of that, ALL the posts and fan rules which were on here (And there was a hell of alot of useful stuff just so you know), was deleted, in some massive automated cockup (So the story goes).

I think between the relativly stable and complete setting (Some people would question the need for anything but bugs/MI) and the constant uncertain future, people just have a bit of diffculty mustering the enthusiasm.

thats another thing, are the skinnies any good? i like the look of them and would proberly collect them but i havent seen much reply on how good they are.

hehe Im biased (Long story).
Id say if you can find an entire army worth of models that dont make you want to vomit then they're ok.
But they are nowhere near as well playtested as the original armies. Consensus runs from them being massivly over powered, to severly rubbish.
Theres a couple of people on here who actually play skinnies from time to time who'd be alot more help though

That about sums it up. I'm a bug player, but I've always been a huge supporter of the skinnies.

I was really pumped when Mongoose announced (oh so long ago) that they would be revamping the rather small original skinny arsenal.

But alas, the models and rules that came out were rather... disappointing...

For a short time there was a fan website that forum member Lieutenant Rasczak put together. Here's the old announcement:

I read later on here (forget which topic) that Lieutenant Rasczak's webhost shut it down for IP infringement. At the time there was only a call for SST stuff and SST stats for Daleks. A real shame. I'd sent him some SST material that never made it to the page and I was going to work on more.

Actually, I"ve been fighting the urge to start a site for days now. It's future will depend on the announcement for BF:Evo and the corresponding action in the weeks following.

I'm in the middle of getting a new home based business off the ground. I expect to have it up and running very soon so that's a bit of a factor for me too. The theory is things should slow down a bit for me after the first of the year to be able to evaluate things a little better.

I think with an english site the game would become more popular, there would be a place that people could upload pics and stuff.
