No more plastic stands?

I just got my shipment and the Sharlin and the breaching pods both come with metal stands. It that the norm now with mongoose minis because it is very awsome if it is.

It would seem so. All of the ones I have gotten recently have had the metal ones.

My new-style ISA fleet set came with a mix of metal and plastic stands. The Victory and WS Carrier both came with plastic stands though. My guess is that Mongoose are using up their supply of plastics and bringing the metals onstream simultaneously.

Just be glad if your ship has a hole. The last nova I bought didn't have one. lol

Haven't seen that yet. Haven't seen one yet that didn't require cutting to make both fit.

Yep. Helps with a whole lot of modeling work.

mine were mixed plastic stem metal base.

The last couple of ships that I have recieved have had both stem and base metal. The breaching pods have no hole and that is a real chore to drill a large enough hole for the stem. Still the metal bases and stems are great. The Nova and Omega really need to be reworked. Some of worst models, in my opinion. Way to much fill of metal in places it should not be. Makes it seem like you are the sculptor. :wink:

It's no matter, I'll still use my Ninja Magic magnetic adapters as they make storage and transport so much nicer!

I'll still use the barrel clasp method, with the metal base.
