No books before summer?

Mongoose
This is for msprange.

Just read the state of Mongoose for 2006 and there's something bothering me. It seems there's no books being released before summer or at least that's the idea I got. My question is, obviously, is this true? Will any book be released before summer? I do like the prospect of a second edition of Conan, but I would love to see more books coming out and not have a seemingly 6-month drought of books.

At the very least, after summer, will there be a veritable barrage of book releases? That would be cool and make up for no books until summer.

Anyway, that's how I view things after reading the State of Mongoose. Do correct me if I'm wrong in my assumptions, please.

That's how I read the post too. Looks like it will be darkest before the dawn of Big Conan Summer Release of 2007!

But I'm hoping they have a few releases before summer. The Cimmeria supp will be a must buy, IMHO. 8)

Yeah, I saw the writeup from EN World. Note there are also several threads here.

Here was his writeup about the Conan line from EN World:
Conan Will not be turning into RuneQuest – no doubt that will be good news to many! We have recently negotiated a four year extension to the Conan licence, ensuring there will be plenty more kingdoms to crush beneath your sandaled feet.

The more observant among you will have already seen there are few Conan releases scheduled for the next few months. This is because we are gearing up for a new wave of books that will expand the setting, make the game easier to get into and begin to tidy up everything that has gone on before. Foremost among these will be the Second Edition rulebook, released in the Summer. This will not be a huge, wholesale change, more along the lines of a few tweaks to bring in supplementary material and make the game easier to comprehend for newcomers. The current ‘region’ books will be kept in print, with PDF downloads to update them to the new rules where needed.

The bonus part of this is that it makes this summer the perfect time to release the long-awaited Hyborian Bestiary. We will also be exploring other regions of the Hyborian Kingdoms yet untouched in our research (such as Cimmeria), and there will be one grand campaign for Conan every year after 2007, as well as the usual smaller scenarios. Big things will be happening in Hyboria, and your players will be at the centre of it all!

Anyways, hope this helps. 8)

You have all the books published thus far? I'm impressed!

There won't be any official releases until the new books come along, but you can be sure there will be plenty of material in S&P.

Oh, you know it :)

A Second Edition, sweet and sad!

Sweet cause a revision with some better info is always cool, but I have just started my collection and I don't want to lose my Atlantean Edition already and I have so many books to that I hope aren't reprinted.

When DnD went 3.5, everything went obsolete so quick, it became expensive to keep up with the new stuff (one reason I stopped: the pricing). At least Mongoose keeps the price in a reasonable range, even with hardbacks. Thanks guys! :)

Worry not - all the 'region' books will be safe, and the parts replaced in books such as Scrolls of Skelos will be integrated into the core rulebooks!

So Shadizar and messentia will be unchanged too? What about the Hyboria's Best books and the others like Pirate Isles and Ruins (or are they considered regional)?
Read what I'd posted above:
