Newer Hardcover core book?

Are the currently sold hardcover Traveller books the older version, or newer version with the updated artwork/errata fixed? Same for the Pocket edition, do they have the new artwork as well? We don't have a LFGS here that's worth a damn, so I can't look for myself...

Are there any plans to make a hardback version of the pocket rulebook ? My only criticism of it is that the cardstock used for the cover is way too thin, and has already curled back on my copy.

Are there any plans to make pocket versions of the other books too ? I love the pocket size, it's great.

..and while I'm in the question asking mood, and at risk of hijacking this thread totally, what are the feelings about having PDF/Hardcopy bundles ? I'd like to have both a hard copy and a PDF for various uses, but at the moment I pretty much would have to pay twice for this. Some technical book companies offer this kind of bundle, and it's really useful.

We found an interesting discrepancy/errata:

One of my players went and bought the core rulebook in Minneapolis/St. Paul (I bought mine in Portland, OR). His rulebook lists the fuel capacity for a Scout ship as 40 tons, mine lists it as 34 tons. We examined each book and could not determine any difference w.r.t. printing version.

Weird. Another player's book, purchased via Amazon, matched mine.

We decided that the scout vessel had a collapsable fuel blivot that converted cargo space to fuel storage.

Mine from amazon lists it as 40 tons of fuel giving One Jump-2 and ten weeks of operation.

Classic Traveller book 2 Starships and Introductory Adventure The Imperial Fringe both list it as 40 tons.

I have 3 versions of the TMB:

Original version (unsatisfactory chargen art, et al): 40 tons fuel
Second version (with added missing Hiver paras): 34 tons fuel
Current version (snazzy chargen art, current version): 34 tons fuel

Can I tell which version my FLGS has without busting open the shrink wrap?
Nope unfortunately.

The only realistic way to check which version it is, is to look inside for some sort of give-away like mthe missing Hiver para.

Paragraphs talking about hivers. The first printing had an error on the hiver entry.
