Newbie wants books!

Hey all,

I've been a D&D player for a long time, and I still own the originals of all the lone wolf books, but I just became aware of the RPG.

So of course I want the core book. The problem being that I can't find it in stock. Anywhere.

I saw some posts about possible reprints and such down in the forums. I saw a softcover book that I could "preorder" in the store, but it has a printing date of September 2006.

So I'm a bit confused. I was hoping someone could give me a quick run down on what the current status of the project is, and when I might be able to get the books to try out this RPG.

If the reprint has been cancelled (and I don't know whether it has or not), it's likely down to Matthew's announcement here:

Mongoose are producing a new Lone Wolf RPG to go with the new gamebooks (due out late 2007/early 2008, so I expect the RPG will be out around the same time), based upon the system in the gamebooks instead of d20.

Awesome, can't wait to see it. While the D20 version looked cool, I'm always a fan of designing a system to fit the specific world.
