I think the headline is a bit off - with 110 passengers it's a small liner and not a yacht. To me yachts are personal playthings and, depending on the size, you can invite a few or a lots of friends. Some notable exceptions are the 'yachts' used to transport ruling dignitaries like the king/queen of England.

Tickets for the inaugural 70-day trip start at 32k GBP, and go up to 110k GBP for the suites. The crew to passenger ratio is supposed to be 1 for 1, but I suspect that includes ALL crew and not just those who are supposed to be taking care of guests. Still, that would make sense.

32K for 70 days is liner rates, probably per cabin.

Large charter yacht will be 100K+ daily for the boat.

The traveller 200 dton type Y yacht is probably similar in concept to a 35-50 meter MY - they're both about the smallest things that fit enough staterooms & facilities of sufficient size.

A craft like this would be typical for today. There's generic interior photos in the sales brochure but you can expect custom for a boat this size if bought new. Price is probably around 30-50 million euros and running cost is very close to 10% of the purchase price (it's way lower in Traveller).

Size today depends a lot on legal regulatory factors and having to float (edit: and fit in marinas), so don't look too far into that. It's under 200 dtons in Traveller. (Be careful when converting as Gross Tonnage (GT) is NOT measuring weight or displacement).

edit: I'm not sure of the Traveller displacement anymore.

edit: To work it out, the displacement is given, and that's volume of the ship that's underwater (1 ton = 1 cubic meter). You then have to estimate the above water parts. Or, you can reverse the entire hull volume from the GT but that requires higher math, and it's based on a box measurement anyway.
