In conjunction with Comstar Games and Avenger Enterprises, part of the Flaming Cobra imprint, Mongoose publkishing is proud to announce the release of the first PDF Traveller adventure: Type-S.

The Type S is one of the commonest starships in all of Charted Space. Users describe it as tough, reliable, robust… just plain hard to break. And yet the crew of the Detached Duty Scout/Courier Highndry have somehow managed just that. Now the ship is stranded on Walston in the Spinward Marches, the crew have absconded and the Scout Service wants the vessel back.

Enter the travellers, a resourceful team of adventurers or maybe even heroes. Commissioned to track down the missing ship, effect a repair and return it to Flammarion Scout Base, they might consider the recovery of Highndry to be easy money. They might be wrong about that…

Type S is a complete adventure for Traveller. Written by Martin J Dougherty, author of the Spinward Marches sourcebook, it takes the travellers from the high-tech starport at Flammarion to a frontier world were adventure, disaster and crisis await.

This volume also details the world of Walston and the surrounding systems, providing additional adventure possibilities and background material that will help bring the Spinward Marches to life.

You can find Type-S on DrivethruRPG.com, at;

This does look interesting... :)

I have most of Avengers products and this looks like it has material from CB1 Bowman Arm PDF... I recognize the map of Walston.

How much of this is new material?

I find it funny that on top of mocking him for not clicking the link, (which he deserves to be, don't get me wrong) you still neglected to answer the question.

Its on sale for 6.97 US

Uhmm... the first thing I did was click on the link and view the preview... "deserves to be"...Hmmm

Based on the preview pages it looks like it contains same/similar material as the PDF CB1 Bowman Arms Cluster, just updated for MGT... was just asking for further info...

Its not a redone version of Bowman but a brand new adventure, the planet map is the same.

The adventure takes place in the Bowman Arm so the SETTING is the same, but it is a stand-alone adventure.

VERY good.

I plan on springing it on my group this weekend!

More in this setting is good as I was thinking of using this material anyways... ;)

I'm working on it... ;) :)

Having read through some of the intro material, this makes a GREAT introductory adventure for any group with ship skills.

Say you have a group with a Scout character that rolled up a ship. THIS adventure can be how the group gets together and gets the ship.

Not a lot of combat if you don't want it, but it will be a great adventure to bond the group and possibly give them several spin-off adventures in the same region/world.

I read one of the lines "The records show that a scout base exists on Walston, but that is not strictly true... The scouts abandoned the base during the Fourth Frontier War and have never reactived it."

If the players work it right, they could be involved in opening up this entire region again. Playing to bring the sub-sector into the Imperium. Added to the Bowman Arm book and the world books by Avenger, this could lead to a long-term campaign very easily.

As my 1248 Campaign is winding down, I am thinking about going "back in time" to 1105 and using this region for the next campaign, depending on who stays around to play (kids are going back to school).

Interesting looking adventure! Much more so than the upcoming Belter one - never did much get into belters.
BUT, it's the site that interests me more: ships! Deckplans!! Screw adventures - I'll be downloading Corsair first!

Keep in mind Emryys, maybe English is not their primary language thus they both failed to understand your question.

In any case, I thought your question was a good one and "clicking the link" did not answer it.

And thanks to Roger for answering it for all of us.
