New to traveller, questions about main rule book versions...

Small group of us are starting to play Traveller, very refreshing coming from other RPGs. But it seems that between us there are two different versions of the main rulebook. Mostly noticed due to the art style.

We haven't had a chance to fully review the two different versions and cannot find any form of errata or page listing the changes. Are there any major changes between the versions?

Tried doing a search, but I think "V2" is getting cut out of the search do to it's shortness.

Thanks in advance!

IIRC v2 came out shortly after the v1 and fixed some production issues such as low resolution/badly scaled deck plans and improved the art a bit. The actual rules I think are exactly the same though they may have fixed a few typos.

I have a printing of the book with the original art. I've looked through the current printing, that has the replaced art, and the rules look the same. The Entertainer career charts still have issues like the old art book does. The charts in the new art books no longer have the alternated bar line rows. I prefer the bars. And the old art.

But the errors (ambiguities) are so minor. None of them "break" Traveller. The fact that no two Traveller gaming groups use the written rules the same way during play suggests that the rules are just a guide anyway.
