New to Judge Dredd RPG

Ok, GOMC1 is a miniatures game, while judge dredd is an RPG, the two being completely different sets of rules, the former being for skirmish combat, tha latter being for role playing.
As far as I know all you need for Judge Dreed is the core book.

I know the differences but when you go into the judge dredd section of Mongoose website theres the GoMC1 rulebook as the core rulebook

Its probably just there for a snese of completion. You could use it if you wanted, to say, make combat more detailed or no a larger scale.

However, GOMC 1 is a good game, but other than the fact it is set in the dredd universe, they are in no way similar, IMHO.

JD the rpg was d20.
It is now unfortunately out of print. Many of us hoped it was to make a new version, combining it with the Miniatures game, allowing for a larger base.

o =[ strange how the other jd things are imprint but the core rulebook isn't...

Not really, they only do so many print runs and you tend to sell more core books than copies of any one supplement.

E-Bay son...you can get it all cheap...I did... :D

I don't even play roleplaying games but the resource is useful...and quite well written...

Typical. I finally get the money for it, and it's out of print.

Any my FLGS has just had their distributor have a "Fire Sale" of sorts, and is out of pretty much everything.

Oh well, will try anyhow.

We currently have copies of the ltd edition steel bound Judge Dredd rpg for sale at work if that helps, but be warned they are not cheap, at all :D
