Quick question, though: what is the little robat ball thingy with the flight stand?

I've got mine and want to start painting them. The red cloaks I know exactly what to do.

The green gloves - what colour is that used on the Mongoose models?

And looking at the body suits I can't tell whether that is black or green from the picture (could be my monitor screen).
