The box art of the House Hawkwood Fleet Set doesn't seem to comform with what's inside.
According the to the contents:
1 Malcolm-class Light Carrier
2 Griffin-class Destroyers
2 Darius-class Galliots
4 Hornet-class Frigates
2 Wayfarer-class Explorers
4 Fitzhugh-class Light Fighters
4 Kestrel-class Torpedo Bombers
On the Box art I see:
Vladimir class cruiser
Maestekuios class dreadnought
Vindicator class lander
Griffin class destroyer
Wayfarer class explorer
Hornet class frigate
Darius class galliot
It's a bit misleading that the box art shows ships that aren't in the box (and isn't clear about that). The box art for the other sets has 'NOT FINAL' in big letters across it. If folks pre-order their House Hawkwood Fleet Set, they might be a bit disappointed and/or pissed off.
I see the dreadnoughts are already planned, but I can't find any of the cruisers or the landers on the schedule (yet).

Looks like a placeholder, as every fleet had the same picture.
Final box art is not long away now!
It's the same picture as on the website and on the website, all the other races have clear place holders, only Hawkwood is different.shotgun-toting chipmunk said:
I don't know about you, but the only reason I noticed that the ships in the picture weren't in the box was because I saw the picture for the Hawkwood Dread in the store and I made a thread a few months ago listing (with pictures) what was in the old boxed sets. I compared the two and concluded that the picture listed with the article isn't what's in the box, your average customer won't know that the ships in the box and those listed aren't the same, they would assume that there are seven different ships listed and there are seven different ships in the picture. You can preorder the item already, so this is going to be an issue with folks who preordered the item based on that picture, as there is no indication in the article description that it's a placeholder (especially as it's been made very clear that the other races have placeholders).Grand Master Hiff said:
It's not about me feeling that there's not enough big ships in the box (there is), it's about others having a real claim with the payment providers that Mongoose didn't accurately represent the item they sold. The same goes for retailers, I want this product to succeed long enough for me to collect a decent force for each faction in FS universe, not it being tainted by claims of false advertising.
