Just to let you know, we have just posted the Gorn fleet for pre-order, Squadron Box #5: Klingon vs. Orion, and the first wave of cloaked Romulan ships!

The Gorn and Squadron Box #5 we are looking to start shipping in January.

I'm not surprised to see the Medium Cruiser used as the "lead" ship on the Gorn faction page; it's arguably the best-looking mini of the bunch.

I see the Kzintis have their empire page up already, though none of their ships are listed just yet...

I looked at the Gorn ships several times, thinking "something's not right". It finally hit me. The triangle logo is missing. See photos of someone's (older Starline-2400 series) minis here:

Sgt G - Missing insignias (Fed Combat Rings, Kziniti Fleet Panels, Gorn Triangles and Hull Numbers, even the rest of the Romulan Eagles) is a problem with almost every ship that has been painted so far. I have been chaulking it up to the Decals haven't been designed yet.

The chosen colour scheme for the Gron is well dull - I assume that this is the official colour? It def does need something to contrast..................

I am sure we may see them in more exciting colours in months to come

I was going to get it anyway, as with the fleet box it gives me 3 D5s and 3 E4s, but 3 Orion ships is nice and if Mongoose do an Orion squadron box would form a mercenary fleet.

Yeah, I really like this squadron box. I was gonna get Fleet Box(es) and I keep looking at the Squadron boxes with Dreadnoughts in them. I understand they're mimicking the FedCom squadron boxes, but dang I probably only need one Dreadnought.

This box is just war cruisers (always useful) and orions, which is great.

Well wait till the border boxes, if they are anything like the ADB ones they are mostly cruiser sized and below ships for three or four races.

Or ignore those puny DNs and get a BB :twisted:

Border boxes are exactly like the ADB border boxes, so yes, mostly cruisers and frigates.

It looks like I'm going to get all three fleet boxes and a Romulan squadron box, and the Romulans will then donate the Kestrel hulls back to the Klingons, will give me 17 Federation, 19 Klingon (with 4 D6s and 4 F5s), 17 Romulan and a spare Condor.

I then just wait for the Klingon/Orion set (22 Klingon) and whenever the Romulan Eagle set gets released (to take 11 Eagle hulls to 16). I may get the Fed new hulls squadron box, and see if removing the aft hull warp pylons from the dreadnought leaving just the dish pylon/engine and the engineering section gives me a passable USS Centigrade.

But will we be playing games needing more than 20 ships a side?
