I quite like the Brakiri ship. Sure its a LITTLE suggestive but it does actually look like a Brakkiri ship to me.

In fact of the 3 new ships Id say its the one that fits best with its fleet (though I do like the Notolo (or however the hell you spell it :P) too)

I actually like it. It's believable as a Brakiri hull - nice job Mongoose.

I like it too.

What I think it looks like most is the "Olympus Carrier" from Battle Star Galactica. You know, the transport ship they had to destroy cause it had a nuke...

Anyone? Hello? Anyone know what I mean? :?

*crickets*

Alright... moving on...

the new Trilogan looks like it has just had an octopus nailed to the front of it... a very childish design indeed.

Brakiri one looks ok really.

fear not :!: i know what you mean... reminds me of it especially towards the rear of the ship though the BSG ship has a more tapered/aerodynamic front section.

I like the new Brakiri ship despite the somewhat phallic look.

On the other hand.....where are the G'Vrahn, Drakh Mothership, Drakh Carrier, and Ka'Bin'Tak? I mean the Minbari replaced their useless armored cruiser that never sees play but has a model already before the Narn and Drakh got their ships that actually might be used. And with a very ugly replacement too.

I have decided after long consideration that the adult torpedo is just fine..and looking at the rear fin designs I believe it is the bastard love child of an avioki and a tashkat. Perfectly suitable.

On the other hand I have to agree that all these lovely ships we're seeing are a bit out of place given that so many folks have been waiting ages to get their already released ships.

As Matt has given the impression of before though, it's a different team working on the ships that don't affect the development line of the first one, does it matter?

I mean if the difference is between new stuff coming out or new stuff sitting on the shelf while we're still waiting on promised ships...does it matter or should Mongoose pull everyone off development of 2nd edition and concentrate on "finishing" ships released in Armageddon?

If that means stockpiling models for 2nd edition rather than releasing in S&P all the better - that means there is plenty when 2nd edition IS eventually released? I'm not saying what I prefer, just offering up the question for discussion to feedback to Mongoose. Personally I think they've gone out of their way to show willing support to the ACTA community...now whether constant attention is a good thing or not, that's another discussion!

It does look a bit like the Rebel Transport...always liked that ship.

It's hard to say about the timing thing. Better to stockpile so that the currently underserved sector of the fan base does not feel rejected, or better to feed interest with new material at the risk of seeming a bit callous to those waiting? I think for me the issue has do due with the idea of 'but I already sent my money in' aspect of the posts by those waiting. A product that was listed as ready to sell being redone is fine I guess, but folks who payed in advance need a boon of some kind.

I think the Arma releases should be given priority.
Arma was a real disastor and Mongoose definitely needs to focus on recovering the game from that.
I.E. Release the Arma ships and replace the Drakh Carrier.
:)
