Hello everyone. This is my first post and of course it is a question. I have been looking for a game exactly like VaS to mainly play out what if scenarios. From what I have read about VaS it would allow me to do this since it looks as if classes that never fought in WWII are statted out. I do not have the game yet and the answer to my following question will play a large part in if I buy the game or not.

Now my question. Are there rules to create your own what if ships to play in what if games?

Thank you,
Scott

Anyone? Almost 24 hours and 45 views without an answer :( ? Surely someone has some knowledge of the rules and can help me by answering my simple little question to help me decide what priority if any to buying the game since no stores near me carry it so I can look for myself.

So is it possible to create your own what if ships to see how they would fare against actual what if ships that were designed but never built.

You can certainly create your own ships, but there is no formal set of design rules to do so in the book. Design formulae for ships do exist, though we have not released them yet (been pegged for an S&P article in the future).

Hope that helps!

That is exactly the information I was hoping for Matthew.

Out of curiousity what S&P issues have VaS articles? Or do all the miniatures issues have at least one? I already found the issue with the Plan Z ships which are some of the ships I was hoping to be able to use.

Most of them have at least something - you'll find the contents of each issue on its own page, without having to download each.
