New Books, Please?

Hopefully soon...I'm glad that Traveller is getting some love, but there's a danger that the long gap between legend releases will make people assume that it is a "dead" system.

Unfortunately for us, Legend is a niche game that doesn't have the mass-market appeal of the other RPG systems that Mongoose publishes. It still has a decent following, but the whole d100 community is in turmoil at the moment - with multiple publishers altering their release schedules for various reasons.

Any update yet?

Is there any chance that a Legend book can be squeezed into the production schedule in the next few months?

We need to polish off some big Traveller supplements and the Paranoia box set but, after that, we certainly have some Legend manuscripts waiting to be put into the production hopper!

Mongoose have just updated their release schedule through until November 2016 and Traveller fans are going to be very, very happy. However, no new Legend products are listed on the schedule at this point. I note that the new Paranoia is also not listed, so it's possible that Mongoose is hitting some resourcing issues with the aggressive product release schedule they are committed to for 2016. Although it is possible that Mongoose will squeeze out at least one Legend product in 2016, at the moment it looks like no indicative dates can be given:

I know. I think it's not that Mongoose doesn't want to support Legend, it's just that their production resources are tied up for the next few months with a very aggressive release schedule. Although the layout for the main Traveller rulebook is finished and High Guard isn't probably almost finished too, there are several more books to do before a slot in the production pipeline is available. Plus there's the small matter of the successful Paranoia kickstarter that also needs to be considered...

Just to let you all know, I have pulled in an ex-Mongooser to take a look at the Legend books - they are working on them part-time, but progress is now being made!

As soon as I have a clearer idea of what is happening, I'll update the release schedule for Legend!

Thanks for the update Matt!!! Looking forward to new releases!!!

I too love the Cities of ... Line and would enjoy another. Would also love to see more on setting developments and tools that would make the creation of cults, factions etc easier.

While I'm at it, I'd love to see one-off "generic" fantasy adventure modules developed, that I could drop in to my own setting.

Funny you should say that, too ...
