neroon you cant be serious!!!!!!

nice, for that money I would have been able to fly to Swindon, spend a week there AND take part in any Mongoose events for what, the next 5 tournaments?

This. Is. Just. Mad.

If he has the money and sees the miniatures as collectable one off's (which they very much are) then why should he be deemed insane for spending it on something he wants too...

The Nolo'Tars threw me, I mean how many could you buy for that money?

Given their total lack of rarity, I was most surprised by those going for what they did.
They are quite nicely painted. I was planning to bid on them myself but the price went silly before I got there.

I was planning to bid on the Neroon but I don't actually have that much cash at the moment (*&%$ mortgage  )

I am with CourtJester on this one. If I had more cash around I would probably have bid it. I doubt we will see another one (desparately hoping Matt proves me wrong).

If I could have justiofied spending more, the T'bolt would have been mine, I can lay my hands on a fair wedge of beer vouchers if I can justify it to myself.

But damnation, I wish I'd bid more for the T'bolt, but if I had, I'd probably be wishing I hadn't spent somuch

I thought you guys were nuts, but.... WOW! As a Chinese saying goes, "there's always sky beyond the sky"

If he's a forum member he'll probably keep quiet about it as he haskept quiet during the bidding...

nam, yea the price it cost id be frightened to play it in case it gets damaged,
most likely spend the rest of its days in a cabinet

Yup, I'd bet it was a collecter who bagged it. Nearly 1000 NZ for a mini

I don't know - I can't see how it can be of any value to anyone who isn't an ACTA player. Especially since they also picked up the Brivoki, the Ka'Bin'Tak, the Nolo'Tar squadron, and a Whitestar - and that's only the ones I know about because I was watching the auctions.

The Nolo'tars are a total mystery - they aren't rare at all and the price paid was just silly money for something that has no rarity value whatsoever.

Of course, it could well be that this is someone who may be planning on turning these minis round in short order in order to make a fast buck. I really hope this isn't the case though!

Regards,

Dave

Well if another Neroon comes up for sale, it would be nice if the sale was limited to those who would actually use the thing. However just can't see any way of making it work.

Oh well, maybe 2009 will see figure production return, and an improved Neroon released.

Fingers, toes and legs crossed (arms would be too, but couldn't type then)

Watch it DB, I'm quite peoud of my Standard Bearer (unpainted obviously) as I reckon I must be one of the only non SST players to have one.
