Hello Rulesmasters,
On p. 106 of the Traveller Core Rulebook is a sidebar that is identified as Redundant Systems. If I recall correctly MT, TNE, T4 and GT do have redundant systems. I do not recall CT or T20 mentioning redundant systems. Again if I recall correctly none of the design systems, including Mongoose, say that a starship can or cannot have a second jump drive. On one hand I'd say no, but on the gear head side I'd say yes.
