Narn vs Shadows - Narn/Centauri War

I was watching Season 2 and I saw 4 (5?) G'Quans go to town on a few Shadow ships, well, try to. From the weapons they were firing, they appear to be the Ancient Shadows.

First off: can a Shadow disrupting a jump point really frag a ship in the game?

Secondly: we see the combined energy mine salvo hurt a few Shadows, then their beam weapons snap off a branch of a ship. After all was said and done, the Shadows seem to attach to a drifting ship of theirs, and take off.

I know it's possible for 4 G'Quans to gang up on and kill a Shadow ship.. but while maneuvering and splitting their fire? It seems to me that JMS considered G'Quans alot stronger than the game rules allow.

um, we have just had a whole thread about how strong the G'Quan is, this subject is almost a big red button saying "do not press" and everyone going ooohhhh and trying to press it ;-)

Firstly, yes a Shadows jump point disrupter can easly frag a ship. Rules are in the fleet book.

Second, 7 G'Quans got totally ganked by 4 Shadow Ships for no losses (only one damaged)... why does that mean a G'Quan is hard?

They had enough firepower to severely injure (but not quite kill) a single Shadow vessel. For 7 Battle PL choices vs 4 Armageddon PL choices this feels about right :P

but it was most impressiv how the shadows cut this narns in half...
the G´quan is an strong ship...but not against those ancient ships.
the lasers of the g´quan are capable of pinning and destroying an shadow ship, i believe but they must hit...against an agile shadow ship. really difficult. they had fired all E-mines from all G´quans. not only two like in the episode.
